The Hot House Updates & The Haps

On the pimping/meet/greet side: The H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival was a smashing success! I met loads of talented artists and writers and some of them even read my writing and liked it! Yay for that! I distributed/sold all the books I brought and sold a couple copies of Phantasmagorium, as well. I had loads of fun and possibly made some new partners in crime as well as festivities. I won a Lee Moyer illustration, and I even got an invitation to write a story for an anthology which is awesome. Can’t wait to let you know about that one. The HPLFF was awesome in a nutshell and I look forward to going next year- hopefully next year I will be invited! Alternatively, I will be getting my own table with plenty of messed up merchandise for my stories!

On “The Hot House” front, my story just finished its Story of the Week run at Phantasmagorium. It was very well received. The story is no longer available at Phantasmagorium but Solarcide will be reprinting it in the near future so keep your eyes peeled!  In the mean time, you can hop over to Phanta and check out this week’s Story of the Week, “The Walk” by Suresh Subramanian. Very cool story.

On the “Tube Top Shebop Tang Yeah Woo” front, I sent that short story off to ThunderDome, and barring any major revising or an outright rejection, that “Two Dude” piece should be coming out in the coming weeks.

On the “King Neptune Sucks Off the World’s Largest Potato” front, I’m rewriting that piece this weekend and with any luck (and maybe a new title), there will be major news about this soon. 🙂

On the “Succubus in the Attic” front, no real news on this front other than it’ll likely run in the next couple months. Here’s to sooner rather than later!

On the screenwriting front, as soon as I finish off my “King Neptune” “Two Dude” piece, all  my time and talent turns to “Sleeping with the Dead.” Here’s to no sleep for the next week!

On the Booked. Podcast front, the awesome people at Booked. just released a review of Laird Barron’s novel “The Croning” so be sure to check that cool shiz out here.

On the ubercool writer got his book placed front,  a congratz goes out to awesome editor/writer Michael Paul Gonzalez for placing his novel “Angel Falls” at Perfect Edge Books!

Well, that’s about it, I think. I may be a bit absent the next couple of weeks while I bang my head against the wall one page minute at the time.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Stay weird!
